Art Collector Myriam Ullens killed

On Wednesday, 29 of March, Myriam Ullen age 70 was shot dead outside her home in the south of Brussels. The reports say she had already passed by the time EMDs arrived at the scene.
The alleged shooter is said to be her stepson Nicholas, who shot her while she was in the car with her husband. The both of them had been in a protracted dispute over inheritance, according to report.
Myriam and her husband Guy are considered very important and influential art collectors especially of chinese art works. They started collecting mostly chinese scroll paintings with almost 2000 works in their collection, but they eventually shifted to contemporary art. In 2007 they established the Ullens Center for contemporary Art in Beijing and they are both known for supporting and championing for chinese contemporary art.
